Vinh Long lies at the heart of the Mekong Delta, between the Tien and Hau branches of the Mekong River. The city is known for its river landscapes, fruit orchards and island villages, and is within easy reach of Can Tho and Ho Chi Minh City.

- By air via Can Tho: Can Tho International Airport (VCA) is about 40 km from VLUTE (around 1 hour by taxi).
- By air via Ho Chi Minh City: Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) is about 135 km away (around 2.5–3 hours by expressway, car or intercity bus).
- Local transport: taxis and ride-hailing apps are widely available in Vinh Long.
- Visa: participants are responsible for checking applicable Vietnam visa requirements. Registrants may request an invitation letter on the registration form.
